On this festive break you will be treated to street entertainment, candlelit parades, carol concerts and much more, set against the enchanting backdrop of Rochester's castle, cathedral and historic centre. Why not learn more about Dickens at Rochester's Dickens Centre? On day three we will journey across the Channel to Lille, where you can explore one of the largest Christmas Markets in Northern France. On the return journey we stop at the UNESCO World Heritage city of Canterbury for time at leisure at its Christmas Markets.
Day 1 Folkestone. Journey to your hotel in folkestone. Included free two-hour bar in the evening plus dinner at your hotel.
Day 2 Rochester. Day at leisure to explore the Dickensian Christmas Markets.
Day 3 France *. A full day excursion including time in Lille to explore the Christmas Markets. Return to hotel in time for dinner.
Day 4 Canterbury. After breakfast we depart our hotel for a visit to Canterbury and its Christmas Markets before commencing our journey home.
Your Hotel
You will stay for three nights at the Britannia Burstin Hotel in Folkestone or similar. This 3-star standard hotel has well-furnished en-suite bedrooms as well as comfortable bar and a restaurant. Breakfast and dinner will be included throughout your stay. The hotel offers an entertainment programme and a free two-hour bar on day of arrival.
