The mouth-watering smell of baked gingerbread, the warming taste of Glühwein, the heart-lifting sight of twinkling outdoor lights. When was Christmas shopping more enjoyable? We've witnessed the striking scenery of the stunning Rhine Gorge, called in at typical Rhineland towns and wine centres, seen the medieval town of Koblenz magically illuminated at night, and heard the fables and legends surrounding the famous Seven Mountains. Now we're in fragrant Cologne indulging in the city's fabulous Christmas Markets. There's such a wonderful range of quality items from which to choose; is there a weight restriction on what we can bring back on board Captain?

Itinerary
Day 1 UK - Andernach
We travel to Andernach where we board the mps Lady Anne. The remainder of the evening is free for strolling through the streets and along the riverside promenades of this attractive walled town.
Day 2 Andernach - Oberwesel - Koblenz
Having cast off early in the morning we cruise up river through the dramatic narrow Rhine Gorge, as far as the famous Lorelei Rock, to the picturesque town of Oberwesel. Here our optional Rüdesheim Delights excursion takes place as the mps Lady Anne cruises back down river to Koblenz. Later you can join our Rhine Wine Tasting Evening excursion to a family owned wine cellar, in a narrow valley close to Koblenz to sample the high quality wines.
Day 3 Koblenz - Cologne
Leaving Koblenz we cruise down the Rhine to our final destination, and the highlight of our holiday, the fragrant city of Cologne. To help get your bearings you can join our included walking tour pointing out the city highlights before delving into Cologne’s fabulous Christmas Markets. Spreading out from the base of Cologne's mighty cathedral and into the pedestrianised area is one of the city's most impressive markets.
Day 4 Cologne - UK
This morning we bid farewell to our Captain and crew and disembark for the return journey to the UK.
